Hi Bytec, This is a grinding disc rather than a cutting disc and is 6mm thick, so we could not recommend it for cutting cement tile backer board. There are specialist blades available for this material, but unfortunately we do not currently stock one. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT
