Currently my thoughts are to mount the stone in the bottom of a fixture with pan built in. Fill with water, and allow a diamond burr to very slowly feed into the part. (Yeah, I know mixing rocks, CNC mills, and water is probably not a great idea!) Fortunatley the part is a thin sheet of material <1/8" thick, so a single slow pass should work.
